Glynn,
From my experience, spamd occasionally dies under a fairly light
load. then when spamc attempts to make the connection, it barfs.. use of
the -f param saves the message and again, from what I've seen, the message
is always delivered.. but the sender gets a nasty looking bounce messag
All,
My spamassassin dies last November 15, 2002.
Im using spamassassin-2.31 and got this bunch of message in my syslog and
lots of procmail and spamd in the process:
snip
Nov 15 10:18:25 akirata spamc[13618]: connect() to spamd failed: Connection
refused

Is there a way to make SpamAssassin not munge the Content-Type of
messages suspected to be spam? (Is there a configuration option for
this, or would I have to edit the source code?)
I use mutt to read my e-mail, so I'm not worried about HTML mail and
other active content that could "call back" to

Is there a way to make spamassassin -r run faster?
I use the "mutt" terminal-based e-mail client. I have a macro for
reporting spam messages (it runs spamassassin -r on the message), but
every time I use it, I have to wait a few seconds for it to finish.

Hi,
in
header INFORMATIK Delivered-To =~ [EMAIL PROTECTED]/
I forgot to escape the "@" Symbol. Now there is blabla\@blublu.bli and
it works (sorry about that).
I also lifted the header rules before the body rules, but that shouldn't
habe been the problem.
Cheers

Search the archive. I had the same problem. My solution was changing from
call spamassassin for any mail received to spamc/spamd and using the mda
option in fetchmail instead of delievering via port 25 causing only one
mail to be delievered (and proces

Hi,
what is the reason for auto_whitelist_path being privileged? I want to
overwrite the setting from the global local.cf file in the user_prefs
file. Otherwise whitelist_to will lower scores for SPAM and this will
"poison" my global AWL.

Hi *,
I hope this is not a FAQ. I was for a week or so in vacations, and in
the meantime, my mailbox got really full. When I fetched my mail, there
were more then 100 new mails. That is not so much, but the problem was
that my system began to swap like the hell. All RAM and SWAP were in
use. Respo
Hi,
I have an old e-mail address, which receive mostly SPAM (but not 100%).
I wrote a rule to give some points to e-mails headed to this address,
but the e-mails aren't caught.
Here is the rule:
header INFORMATIK Delivered-To =~ [EMAIL PROTECTED]/
describe INFORMATIK Benutzt al
