If XSD is used, then if the complex type isn't marked as being of "mixed" content type, then all whitespace between two start tags ( ... whitespace ), whitespace between an end tag and a start tag or between two end tags is insignificant. This is not a bug in Apache SOAP code. Sanjiva. - O

There have been some very worthwhile fixes since 2.3.1, especially the recent performance patches from Pavel Ausianik (which I think will also save me about 10%). Anyone thinking of a 2.3.2 point release collecting up all of that? (If not, we'll just grab a CVS snapshot sometime, but that feels
