Hi Christian, the drive is a little strange, i.e. it never succeeded a 'long' test. Any such attempt was invariably "aborted by host" after a short while. Not sure what that means. Anyway, here is the output you requested: $ smartctl -d usbjmicron,x -x /dev/sdb | smartctl 5.39.1 2010-01-28 r305
