I just tried on Ubuntu 8.04 with:
Sane CVS
xsane 0.995
a Canon MP610 both for scanning and printing (Canon driver for printing)
Create a new printer in "copy" tab under preferences, leave the default
options:
Command: lpr
Num of copies: -#
150 dpi scan for both color and grayscale
Embed scanner
linux 2.6.28
debian sid
cups
xsane 0.995
hp 8200 scanner
The problem happens on all of my systems: a 286 32 and a AMD 64 bit one.
xsane is working fine, except printing.
I tried a lot with lp and lpr, but there is always no reaction at the
printer.
Also no error message.
