linux 2.6.28 debian sid cups xsane 0.995 hp 8200 scanner The problem happens on all of my systems: a 286 32 and a AMD 64 bit one.
xsane is working fine, except printing. I tried a lot with lp and lpr, but there is always no reaction at the printer. Also no error message. Selected to copy, scanning finishes. Nothing else. No paper. No message. My printer in named 4050tn. It's the standard printer. lp file.txt works fine. Also lpr file.txt. Also lp file.pdf and lpr file.pdf. Also lpr -# 2 -P 4050tn file.pdf. Also lp -n 2 -d 4050tn file.pdf. None of this commands helps if I put them in xsane configuration. Scanning, but no reaction at the printer. Do you have any idea what to do next in order investigate this problem? Rolf
