Hello, all!
So, any chance anyone is working on this? If nobody is working on
this, I'd like to start but I'll definitely need a crash course in
scanner driver programming and to what I should pay attention. Or
maybe somebody is aware of a similar driver that I can adjust?
Thanks,
Catalin

Dear Catalin,
Would you mind if I posted a couple of lines of the log files here, in
case someone recognizes the type of protocol (SCSI for example). There
are several backend files for Canon serving SCSI protocol, I just do
not know if the 5600F is using something like that. The fact that the

I took the same sample some time ago, with an older version of the
repositories... Please find the file attached. If needed, I can do
that again. Just let me know.

Ah, now it works! Got it.

Glad was able to help! Let me know if they are correct and if I can
assist you in any way. I am still learning (besides school) how things
work and, although it's plain C, it takes a while to "digest" them.

Hello again!
Sorry for the delay. I don't have the scanner at home, so it took a
bit longer. File can be found at:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VH9CSUME You have there 2 full snoops
(including replug), one snoop with only the scan and the details file.
If needed, I can send the archive to you in p

Dear frustrated and long-suffering owners of CanoScan 5600F,
I have had good fortune in the beginnings of support for the 8800F
using the pixma backend code (thanks to Allan, Nicolas and Milan for
the help, information and ongoing advice), and would like to know if
anyone is able and willing to pe
Hi there!
I can and would like to test. I don't understand which are the driver
options and how I can turn them off and therefore will need some
attention with that. Also, should the scanner be connected to the
computer when starting the snoop or should I connect it then and also
catch the initia
