Hello Catalin, Thanks a million! Driver options are checkboxes or drop-down lists with ON/OFF as options in the scan interface. Usually things like automatic corrections. It's not a biggie if you leave one on (one or two are on by default depending on the scan mode, if you can turn them off). You can leave the scanner connected when you start the snoop: the only thing I found that is necessary is to 1) pause the log 2) close the log 3) delete the log 4) resume the log And then "replug" the scanner (where "replug" is a button on the usbsnoop interface). Sure you will have some log lines that are unnecessary before the replug, but that doesn't matter. The replug operation gives the initial information just fine. WinXP please, I don't use Vista even for testing and I only know that usbsnoop works with Win2K and WinXP. The tests I have done on the 8800F were with WinXP so same would be appreciated. If impossible, we'll work with what we can get! When you have a log file (after you have closed the scanner driver---but not unplugged the scanner!) you do 1) pause the log 2) close the log Then you can go the C:\WINDOWS directory to find the UsbSnoop.log file. Copy this to somewhere safe (if you do not close the log you cannot copy this file, it seems). After that you are free to either resume the log, or delete it (you can only delete a closed log). Then you should send me a zipped version of said log, along with whatever parameters you used in the driver (resolution, image pixel size, color mode, scan media mode, media tray [flatbed I guess], any other information you can find). I cannot promise anything but I am optimistic from comparing the specs of the 5600F and 8800F. Many thanks, Gernot Hassenpflug
