Could you spare some advice on programming the
caret movement for the double-coil stepper motor
controlled from GL84* (GL841, actually)? E.g., I
can't figure out how the movement tables are
formed (looking at the source and datasheet),
and I'd really like to have "safe" movement
cycle working

what version of sane-backends are you using? support for this scanner
has improved in recent versions.
