Hello,
the Canon lide 50 is reported to be a GL841 scanner, not a GL646. When
I had a look at lide 80's log which were posted on the list, one difference I
could see was that th GL841 uses endpoint 0x83 for register bulk write, while
GL646 uses 0x82 (value = 130 below):

Hello,
I could borrow an hp 2300C. This let me add support for it in the
genesys backend. Here's the status of the version I'v just check-in in CVS:
The backend has support for 2300c. It can do 75, 150, 300 and 600 dpi,
8 bits color and gray scans. However, there's a bug
Hello,
it seems usbsniff has trouble running on your machine. Logs should
contain thing like:

Hello,
experimental genesys backend after checkin last updates is now close to

Hello,
here's another status update of the experimental genesys backend after
checkin last updates. Scanner does origin searching, coarse gain, offset and
shading calibration. Gray level and color 8 bits scans works for 50, 100, 150,
200,
300, 350, 400 and 600 dpi. Image quality
Hello,
here's the status of the experimental genesys backend after checkin

updates: scanner does origin searching, coarse gain, offset and shading
calibration, then does a 100 dpi color scan, but get stucks in head parking. The

Hello,
here are as set of patches that add the MEDION MD5345/MD6228/MD6471
to the experimental genesys backend.
The first patch adds on ly the new model so that it can be
detected: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/septieme/MD6471/00_add_md5345.patch
I think it is OK to check in, bu

Hello,
I checked that ECP was still working on my laptop. I'll try
on my other linux box to see if I get the same. Can you raise trace
level to 255 and send me the output of the test program ?
Regards,
Stef
Hello,
I think you should try again ECP. I think the message you get is
harmless. You can comment it out in the sourcecode before doing tests
again.
But until you see ECP mode detected by ythe linux kernel, I'm
afraid you'll have troubles.

Stef

Hello,
I'm using sniffusb-1.8 to log the data flow for a Medion MD6471, and
ran into a couple of issues:
- first, logs show some messages like
*** non printable URB with function code 0x1004
or
*** non printable URB with funct
Hello,
the CVS version of the umax_pp backend now handles the UMAX ASTRA 610P
correctly (in SPP mode only). There is no known bugs, and it works reliably.
You can consider using it for your day to day operations.

Stef

Hello,
support the UMAX Astra 610P flatbed parallel port scanner has
been added to the umax_pp backend in SANE's CVS. It is a beta, and I
expect that bugs will be found when trying it on hardware different
than those I tested on.
In case of trouble, try to change parallel p
