Hi,
I just tried "modprobe -r usblp usb_storage" as mentioned previously in
this list. This makes my scanner work via usb. It's kind of
inconvenient, but not my regular use case anyways.
All the best

(would be faster then wireless networking, I hope ;-)).

USB connection.
Do you have any suggestions?

I have not really assembled anything and
s the option
to set this rendering intent independently of the rendering intent
for the output profile (typically the desired output profile intent is
perceptual or relative colorimetric).

I've found some previous reports of saned having timing issues.
http://lists.alioth.d
/** Canon LiDE25 */
static HWDef Hw0x04A9_0x2220 =

If I were to create a patch, would it be better if an entirely new section for
the LiDE25 was created e.g.?
.
.
{ MODEL_LIDE25, 8, 51, 9,
/* Motor settings (PWM and PWM_Duty) */
.

I'm going to try your suggestions now. Will keep the list posted.

saned is
broken for some reason, and it emits really alarming noises upon starting a
scan.

Stephan
locks up after what sounds like "a)
motor initialization and b)turning the lamp on".
I still also get some rather annoying (possibly damaging?) grinding noises
from the motor when using scanimage.
Could you maybe point me in the right direction where I might tweak the code
for the motor controls a little?
Cheers

the usbcore.o or the usb-uhci.o is not able to
segment these large bulk transfers correctly.
Thanks for all your help and suggestions, and I'll continue trying new
versions of usbcore and usb-uhci.

Thanks for your suggestion, but I think scanner.c 0.4.5 (included in
kernel 2.4.7) is up to date. Which version of scanner.c do you refer to?
Did I overlook a new version on David Nelson's web site?
