You need to use the --page-height and -y params to tell the scanner
how big of an image you want. scanimage --help will show you more
options.

Hi,
I am building a system with an fujitsu ix500 connected to an Raspberry PI
running sane and scanbd.
I have one issue scanning pages longer than 14 Inches. The scanner stops
scanning after reading about 14Inces of the page.

Hi,
My Canon MF3010 is not correctly detected as a scanner (it works as a
printer, though). I am using Linux Mint 17 with up-to-date packages and
Linux 3.13
$ uname -aLinux myhost 3.13.0-24-generic #47-Ubuntu SMP Fri May 2 23:30:00
UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/LinuxWhen running sane-find-scan
I assume sane-backends has been upgraded from the version I twice helped
you patch previously. If so, you will likely need to replace sane-backends
again. Fortunately, S1100 support has been added to our development
version, so no patch is needed now. Maybe you can use Rolf's ppa with this
command
Im running ubuntu 14.04 32 bit and Xsane was previously working fine for
years but after a recent update I'm encountering out of memory errors on
scan attempt.
It seems to be detecting the wrong device for scanning even though I am
selecting the correct device on startup.
'sudo sane-find-scann
