Reported as working for both printing and scanning - I bought this one
because it looked like someone could have it working, and indeed it
does, despite not being listed in the SANE hardware database.

I have a HP Scanjet 2400 and I'm trying to use SANE to acquire an image, with
no success so far.
As suggested by the warning, I'm reporting here the failure.

Hi,
I have a Canon mx 700 and I am running Debian Lenny.
The scanner appears to be supported in the latest pixma backend but I get the
following error from make.
Generating sane.dvi from sane.tex...
