Here are a few notes on compiling a recent sane snapshot (from sometime
earlier this week) under FreeBSD 7.1. I am not a FreeBSD user but
installed it on an old box (AMD XP 2000) to test my bjnp sources for the
pixma backend.
- libgphoto2 is not found, solved it temporarily by adding
${GPHOTO2
tch by tomorrow.

And BTW, you say that 2400 dpi does not work.
What do you get exactly ?
Does the scanner scan something ?
Is the image wrong ?
Can you send a sample scan at 2400 dpi:
- the log trace using the same command I gave in my previous mail, scan
only a **small** image to keep the log small

i've been using sane with my epson "perfection v500" scanner with
great success for run-of-the-mill scanning/copying duty, but i'm
finally getting ready to try scanning some of the stacks of old
photos that were part of the reason for getting a photo-quality
scanner in the first place.
