[sane-devel] problem building sane-backends

Hello! First of all I want to mention that I'm a new user of Sane and I don't know actually if I'm posting on the correct list. If I'm not I apologize in advance. Now for the actual problem: I need th Sane CVS for using a scanner (it's a Pixma), I downloaded sane-backends from CVS and I did:

OK, you have messed up your box by wildly installing rpm packages and compile from source. At least that's what I consider it. So, maybe you should just tell us what distribution you have and what you are trying to achieve.
