I have heard from the MinGW lists. The macro is not in the general
stddef.h header, but in the header from
Hi,
While compiling Sane (CVS version), I encountered another compile time
error. This time, it would seem that 'u_short' has not been declared.
I am using MinGW, and GCC
In an effort to fix this, I included this typedef before the error
line displayed in the output:
typedef unsigned short u_
I'll find out.

well, i'd say the first thing to do is contact rene rebe directly, and
see if he can help you troubleshoot the scanner you have.
unfortunately, i think he is on vacation right now.
how much do you want to spend on this scanner and what features do you
need? fujitsu fi-5750C is nice but $5000+
all
for starters, try this, all on one line in your terminal:
SANE_DEBUG_AVISION=7 scanimage -L
and take a look at the output for error messages. my guess is
something about permissions?

I've investigated further, and found another directory that fails due to
the build of a .o not being finished before the ar/ranlib rule to make a
.a. If I run BSD make with -j4 I can't get it to fail. But with GNU
make -j4, it fails pretty regularly. This is gmake 3.81 on NetBSD
4.0_BETA2 on i38
g?
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi,
I just checked, "brassedoff AT telstra.com" is NOT subscribed. However,
"brassedoff AT bigpond.com" IS subscribed. Well, it was, I removed that
subscription now.
You always must use the same address for unsubscribing as for subscribing.
Bye,

Hello,
Sometime ago I thought I unsubscribed from the sane-devel mailing list.
However I still keep getting mail. I tried to unsubscribe again and I received
the message below. The message says that I'm not a member of the list but I
keep getting mail. Can you please fix this?

Dear Xsane,
On two different PCs running Ubuntu 7.0.4, Xsane does not start the
Canon LIDE30 scanner. Xsane 0.991 reports N124U/LiDE30-002 on the title;
it scans a black image but the scanner does not light up or move the
lamp.
I have tried two scanners with no luck. Kernel version is
2.6.20-15-124
