I finally got the el cheapo SCSI card that came with my UMAX scanner to
work. I was surprised to find instructions in your FAQ to get the card
working (last time I had checked, everyone told me it was a lost cause)

I am trying to get my scanner to work with sane. I have a Canon LIDE20
usb scanner. sane-find-scanner sees the scanner but when I run scanimage
-L nothing comes up. Its as if the scanner isn't there.
