[sane-devel] [ANN] plustek backend V0.44 - Canon support

Hi there, I've currently released V0.44 of the Plustek backend. I have intergrated code to support CIS based devices, namely CanoScan N670U and N650U. The support is currently limited to color modes and without any calibration. I used the information from the standalone programs from Jason Millwar

[sane-devel] Remote access to scanner

I'm running Mandrake 9.0, with xinetd, and was wondering how I could let my wife access the scanner directly from her Windows Millenium machine. I go into SWAT, but all I see is the ability to do file and/or printer shares. Is there a way to configure Samba to allow access to this device directly

[sane-devel] Epson 1660 scanner

Epson has released the model 1660 scanner. This appears to be like the Epson 1650 but with USB 2.0 support. The Vendor id is 0x04b8, and the ProdID is 0x011e. A friend has reported that the scanner is fully functional with the epson backend under sane-1.0.7.
