Just wanted to give an update on my problem - I purchased an Adaptec
2920C card and disabled disconnects in the BIOS and everything works
perfectly now. Apparently the linux drivers for the Initio and the
Domex cards are not written as well as the Adaptec one.

Hi there,
I've currently released V0.44 of the Plustek backend. I
have intergrated code to support CIS based devices, namely
CanoScan N670U and N650U.

I'm running Mandrake 9.0, with xinetd, and was wondering how I could let
my wife access the scanner directly from her Windows Millenium machine.
I go into SWAT, but all I see is the ability to do file and/or printer
shares. Is there a way to configure Samba to allow access to this device
directly
Epson has released the model 1660 scanner. This appears to be like
the Epson 1650 but with USB 2.0 support. The Vendor id is 0x04b8,
and the ProdID is 0x011e.
A friend has reported that the scanner is fully functional with the
epson backend under sane-1.0.7.
