Epson has released the model 1660 scanner. This appears to be like the Epson 1650 but with USB 2.0 support. The Vendor id is 0x04b8, and the ProdID is 0x011e.
A friend has reported that the scanner is fully functional with the epson backend under sane-1.0.7.
