I successfully built SAGE 2.7 from scratch on my debian etch laptop a
couple of days ago. But today I tried sage -upgrade to get 2.7.1 and
failed -- "no space left on device". At this point the sage directory
contains 1.2G.
Perhaps I'll need a new laptop to continue to upgrade my SAGE!

I am guessing you are intererested in having subgroups of the
permutation group acting on tone rows or something along those lines.
Do you actually need to have the ability to manipulate groups in your
final application or are you using sage to find some set of
interesting groups and only intend
