USB can be bootable from Mac series (at least my MBA 13 with i7 CPU is). In
our test list: Kingston, sony, TDK, could boot from MBA; but transcend ,
kingmax does not. I don't know
the reason way; it's only my test.

It bases on slax-6.2 version, Slakware Linux, and includes TeXmacs

Sage works on slax-linux-6.2 (slackware Linux).
By the ways, I will distribute a live DVD/cdrom Linux in ICMCT9,
http://www.ictmt9.org. In which, Sage-4.0.1 is contained with other
CAS, octave, Maxima, Axiom and others. In particular, Sage worked with
Maxima-5.18.1.
