Hi all, A different way as this thread, I also make a live USB system (for Sage-5.6 and Python3.3) for awhile and run very well on most PC, laptops.and my Macbook air (MBA13). Porteus linux is the live system I use (since it is very tiny). Replicate it only few steps required:
1. copy its iso ; 2. copy the retracted all the files to USB device 3. executing the command in the system. bootextlinux.sh/bootinst.bat to make USB device bootably In our experience, such kind of device made from above can run almost on recent laptops without problem but not for Mac-series. Only some brands of USB can be bootable from Mac series (at least my MBA 13 with i7 CPU is). In our test list: Kingston, sony, TDK, could boot from MBA; but transcend , kingmax does not. I don't know the reason way; it's only my test. Hope this helpful cch -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sage-devel" group.
