+1 to Simon. I find ipython's behavior more reasonable than the notebook's.

I now see that this is IPython' fault.

Hi,
In Sage Notebook, entering shift-enter after typing
E=EllipticCurve?
shows correctly the doc, but on commandline, we get
sage: E=EllipticCurve?
Object `E=EllipticCurve` not found.
This different behavior seems a bug. I am using Sage 4.7.

Also keep in mind that the Sage notebook can be run remotely without any
extra effort, I think this is a big advantage.

Hi all,
Just wanted to check some facts. I'm giving a small talk about Sage, and I'm
planning to say (just because it seems to me) that using the sage notebook
is really big advantage compared to other programs that have heavier
graphical interfaces. Assuming that you always have your browser runn

I have not been aware of it. It is in a format similar to what I have
suggested in my previous post.

Talking with some coleague he told be that he thought that sage
documentation was very bad. The reason he presented was that it was

So i have thought that it might be a good idea to have an index of
functions and procedures. Ju
