I am interested in knowing how many people on this list are using GSAS (with or
without EXPGUI) on PowerPC Macs (G4 & G5 processors). If you want this hardware
to be supported in future releases, please let me know (offline please!).
I am also interested in hearing from people who use
Hi All,
I have placed new versions of GSAS for Windows, MacOSX10.4 and Fedora5 (upward
compatible?) on the CCP14 web server. You can also find it at our local place
http://11bm.xor.aps.anl.gov/downloads/gsas. Changes are (I went back pretty far

Dear Blaise,
Freedom is free, and using the command line version of GSAS works as good as
the new Graphical Users Interface versions. However Id strongly suggest you
to try EXPGUI instead of PC-GSAS.
Not only youll have all the capabilities that GSAS itself has (links to all
routines distribut
I'd like to announce two new GSAS/EXPGUI releases for Macintosh
computers running OSX 10.4 (not 10.3) that bring the Mac up-to-date
with the April 2006 release of GSAS for Windows and Linux.
There is a release for older Macs with PowerPC CPUs (G4/G5). This
version completes the GSAS
Friends,
My previous e-mail stated that the combined GSAS/EXPGUI distribution
had been updated for all four supported platforms. This was wrong.
I just discovered that the updated Windows version did not get onto
the webserver until a few minutes ago (my fault). My sincere apologies
to all

Larry,
I knew about this but was hoping that there was a way within Windows to
keep the window open.

Hi Armel,
Ah well. I did have that as a plan a long time ago. Well I do the

Ooops.
Now that the GSAS Fortran source is in the mailboxes

Brian,
Attached is the new Linux version (with fixes). This has the new VERSION
version and a fix to the texture stuff. Apparently the g77 version of atan2
doesn't know what to do with atan2(0,0). Use this one for the SGI.

In a word, yes.
EXPGUI does only a fraction of what EXPEDT does, but I would like to
think it is pretty useful. See
