Squid is installed on a machine with ipchains filters.
I can ftp from that machine, I can download files through (squid)http but

I have written a script that checks the CPU temperature and if it gets too
high, the system should power down.
The problem is that I don't know how to shut down the system by software.
The motherboard (Soyo SY-K7VTA-B) is able to perform software shutdown but I
do not know how to do it in
