I have an ATI Rage 128-series card. I'm pretty sure it's the Fury Pro, but
RH keeps insisting it's a standard Rage 128. Either way, there doesn't
seem to be a way to enable 3D acceleration or OpenGL support through
redhat-config-xfree86. Has anyone been able to get 3D accel. to work with

It depends on what you want to do, which version of RH you use, and
which printing system you use. If you want to add differenct pcl
commands to different text files and print you can add them as
escape sequences with vi you just add them with crtl-v esc then

Are you setting the ip's on the other machines statically? If not, you
can set up a dhcp server. Does this Siemens modem have an ethernet
connection? If so, there are plenty of howto's out there for this.
You'll need two NIC's in the Linux box...eth0 connected to the DSL
modem, and eth1 for

Do a 'rpm -q kernel' first to find out all of the different kernels on
your system. If you have more than one,

So far I'm running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.
I read that syslogd should be started with the -r command. According to 'ps aux|grep
syslog' it is not and I can't find the file that sp

I know that in the Windows environment, there is an application called Pivot Pro that will allow me to do this.http://personalcomputing.portrait.
What RH distribution are you using. The explanation I
give will be for RH7.3.
First, you should read the man pages for syslogd and
syslog.conf. It gives a decent explanation.
To set the syslogd options upon system startup use
/etc/sysconfig/syslog and set the SYSLOGD_OPTIONS
variable. The /etc
