In vsftpd.conf my virtual users are mapped as real user 'ftp'.
In /etc/vsftpd_user_conf have for every virtual user a named file with a
single line :
local_root=/jail/ftpd/pub/'virtual user'
Every virtual user's home dir is owned by 'ftp' as every dir
under /jail/ftpd.
'ftp' home dir: /jail/
My sound card is an YAMAHA ISA sound card.

ok after updating my kernel I was able to mount a NTFS
drive but I am unable to change the permissions on it to
where I am able to write to it I can only read it but only
as root even logged in as root I am unable to change
permissions. Is there a way to get past this.

Hey Brent,
As far as I know NTFS is a read only file-system. As for fat32
mount -t vfat /dev/hdax /mount_point
where x is the valid dos partition and /mount_point is an already created
directory.

What you want to do is put an entry into your /etc/fstab
This file is the one responsible for automatically mount ing file-systems
at boot time. The entry for you require will look like the following:
/dev/hda1 /dosvfatdefaults,umask=000
0 0
Err... Brent, It should be included with RH 9 already.

created by Ontrack because the 120 gig drive was only 60 gig without it.
I left the fourth partion raw so I could install Linux after I got
