Please reply below quotes. That makes it easier to follow.
You *do* have the "mkfs" command. Double-check when logged in as
root. ;)

I don't know about RH 8.0, but in 7.3 and earlier, Disk Druid was only
available during install.

Dear Friends:
I apologize for answering using .html format. I know this really upsets some
of you, but I answered from my office, where I have to use M$ products. BTW,
as a matter of fact, my e-mail software is configured to use bare text
only...

Robert: using DiskDruid after you finished your
installation will ruin your partitions, and erase your information. If you want
to keep your actual information, you should look for a repartitioning tool such
as PartitionMagic or FIPS.

Where is your SWAP partition? DD requires at least 1.

The 1024 cylinder is not around 1.4GB on most drives - it's closer to
8GB and only the /boot partition has to be completely below the 1024
cylinder - the rest of the system can be anywhere on the disk. The
reason for the 1024 cylinder limit for /boot is that most BIOS can't

linux must be installed, all version below the 1024 sector
(around below 1.4Gb) and can never above this value
