Hello,
I did a clean ftp install of rawhide 2720. I ran into a few
problems.
The biggest problem I am having right now is I can't install or
rebuild any rpms meant for 6.2. Is there anyway to fix this?
The below are problems I had during and after install.

Hello,
I am sure it is known but just thought I would report that there are many
dependency errors with unknown suggestions. I did a clean install with
bootnet.img with the rawhide/i386/* directories downloaded to my server.

Hello,
I am trying to trace down a problem and was hoping for some info on how

I have an SB Live card. Under Redhat 6.1 with all updates (uses the
2.2.12 kernel) and using the newest emu10k1 driver the joystick works
just fine. But If I install the Rawhide ve

Hello,
I had a clean install of Redhat 6.1 with all updates applied. I then
downloaded the current snapshot of the emu10k1 (soundblaster live) driver
and compiled and installed it per their instructions and the joystick
worked (soundcore, emu10k1, joystick, joy-gravis.) The only error I
Hello,
Looks like things are going good on this release..
After I downloaded all the i386 rawhide files and removed the ls-lR and
ls-lR.gz files it installed over the network without a single problem or
complaint (still couldn't install over the internet.)

Hello,
Just curious as to what determines when a new version of a program gets
into rawhide?
I noticed the new rawhide has several programs updated to their newest
versions but others are not.
ie, PHP3, IMAP, Glade, GTK+.

Hello,
Since I couldn't do a bootnet install of rawhide from the
ftp.redhat.com server I downloaded all the files from the rawhide
directory to a local server and removed all the CVS, ls-lR, and ls-lR.gz
files.
If it is known that these files mess up the install then the install
Hello,
Since I was unable to do and FTP install I tried just updating
everything plus the new packages.
There is an error in the Sawmill install as it needs libreadline.so.3
and it is not available in the new rawhide only libreadline.so.4 is
there.

Hello redhat-devel-list,
Don't know if this information is needed or not but just in case.
I was trying to do and ftp install of rawhide from ftp.redhat.com and got
the following error when it was reading the package information.
Traceback (innermost last):
File "/usr/bin/anaconda.real
Is rawhide and actual installable version or just a collection of updates
that have not been fully tested?
