Have not played with XFS so I cannot comment but I have one system here
I have to use Reiser on becasue it has about 1.5 million files and I
could not create a file system with enough inodes using ext2.

Text terminals are not dead. I have just spent the last 4 months
converting terminal applications from SCO to Linux for a customer that is
still selling wyse60 terminals to customers. There are lots of places
where there is no room to put a mouse and many data entry
own by killing the approprate services.
Also get familiar with ipchains and use that to close your system down
even tighter.

Redhat-
scares me a bit.
Webmin could use some cleanup in terms of what the default installaiton is
and possibly a scheme like the one used in satan in that the program did
not run on a specific port but would run up a random port and pass the
information to the web browser invoked at the sam
on for Webmin. I have started removing linuxconf from all
my RH systems or at least disabling them. It is a real pain when your
system will not reboot just because somebody ran linuxconf. Road trips to
the computer room at odd hours make you really gun-shy.
