Thanks. That worked nicely and anaconda runs fine in test mode now.
I copied the anaconda directory over to to misc/src/anaconda in the
RedHat tree, and ran a make install. I got the following errors:

i created 3 partitions but then deleted 2 with fdisk.. now i want to reuse
the space occupied by the deleted partitions.. is there any tool which i can

I know Partition Magic can do it, and I believe that GNU Parted can,
as well.

Whenever you install a distribution it comes with a generic kernel
compiled with everything but the kitched sink. I was wondering how
Redhat determines what the kernel gets compiled with? What makes a
generic kernel. Being that I am creating a customized Redhat
distribution I am wanting to compile
I'm trying to build a kernel for a customized redhat
distribution. I am looking for information on how to
build the boot disk with an updated kernel. And also
build kernel RPMs for this custom distribution. Right
