[RE-wrenches] Mystery racking-who knows what this is?

2019-03-12 Thread Nick Welch
Hello, I took on a project that was partially completed by another outfit. I need to provide a spec sheet on the racking (rail more so than stand-off) for permitting. I believe it was installed roughly 5 years ago. See picture below. [image: mystery rail.JPG] Many thanks, Nick

Wow, looks like a tile bracket used (very improperly) on comp shingle. Sorry I don't recognize the mfr. This one goes straight to our "Solar Gone Wrong" photo gallery. Blake On Tue, Mar 12, 2019 at 1:08 PM Nick Welch wrote: > Hello, > > I took on a project that was partially completed by anoth

Outfit = Clown? Nick, I would tell this client you can't touch this PV system without replacing the mounting system completely. I can't see how that meets any building code. There is no question in my mind that it will eventually leak. Wrong application, no flashing - this is a recipe for disaster

What brand are the modules?  Are they even UL listed?  Once they ran that by the inspector and he wasn't happy, that may have been the point when the Circus packed up its tent and left town. Ray Walters Remote Solar 303 505-8760 On 3/12/19 4:04 PM, Jason Szumlanski wrote: Outfit = Clown? Nic

the tile hook looks very much like Schüco's product. . But the rail is not jumping to mind.. Joe Nelson Project Manager C-46/C-10 Sustainable Energy Group Inc., A California Corporation CSL# 868816 www.SustainableEnergyGroup.com 530-273-4422 (Office) 530-
