I too 2nd what jay suggests. Fred Howe is Very helpful & the units I've worked
w/ from T&H maximize the hydros output over a broad range of water. Fred is on

Have you called SMA directly? SMA has other neat stuff that's only available
outside the US. Apparently they don't think there's enough demand here to go
through the listing process.

Take a look at Citel lightning protection. They install on a din rail. We
are installing a 15 kw array for Acadia National Park and they were spec'd
for the project. It will be our first time using them but they look
promising.

I did email SMA Monday & a reply followed your Wrench reply to my inbox this
afternoon.
As I suspected, they are not [yet] available in the states. It looks as
though one Sunny Backup will replace 2 Sunny Islands. Technologically it's
par for the course coming from SMA.
Maybe they are waiting
