I use a pro pack type bag too. I started as a carpenter with a bucket and a
bucket boss, became an electrician and went to a big open mouth bag(to
unorganized for me) then to a craftsman three drawer tool box, but it was VERY
heavy, then to a traditional "tool box" and now to a pro pack type ba
I second the Veto Pro Pak. Tough as nails, and nice organization.

We use a CLC (carry lotsa crap) bag from Home Depot. The one we use has a
long carry handle as well as shoulder strap, is about 18 inches long and
does what it should. The one I've been using is about 5 years old now.

Veto Pro Pac XL
Love it! Except the outside measuring tape holder needs a holding strap

when/where it happens.
There are different models with different capabilities, like a pocket for
a laptop, so to each their own.
