I'm thinking each has it's function.. Ideally, The bulk of me stuff stays on the truck. When I'm working on a Board / Power Center, I try to get the Veto within easy reach (Waist high and less than 4 feet). But again, I generally work out of my Carharts. I once had a large Veto (18" maybe), but seemed to find tools multiplying in it - especially the heavy ones. I've been using a Veto 14" with a shoulder strap for years now, but still find I need to hoe thru it regularly.

I do have a couple three deep pocket Klein pouches and line bags around.. I'll set them up for job specific tasks.  I generally either clip them on my climbing gear or use a shoulder strap.. I really don't like belts.. they tend to make me undies want to migrate upward and become a Tu Tu.. especially when I'm hot and sweaty and in public so I can't do anything about it (and I already  have problems focusing ). Nope, I'm a minimalist.. I like to carry just what I need. The last thing I need is more.. Baggage.

OK, Wrenches, I'm grateful for this list, as the Veto Pro Pac is something I had  never heard of, and I like the products on the website (http://www.vetopropac.com/products). Several of you have made this recommendation. So which model do you prefer, and why? And does this fully take the place of a tool belt when you're out in the field?

I second the Veto Pro Pak.  Tough as nails, and nice organization.  Multiple configurations to suit your purpose.

Here's an everyday, practical question for my fellow wrenches: What kind of
bag or box do you use for your everyday assortment of tools?

For years I have been carrying my cutters, stripper, screwdrivers,
multimeter, etc., in an aluminum suitcase about the size of a double
thickness briefcase. I call it my 90% box because it carries 90% of the
tools I use regularly. It has loops and pockets inside the lid for pliers,
cutters, and screwdrivers. It has a partition system in the rest with an
internal lid. I think it was billed as an office equipment repairman's case.
The problem is that the hinges are broken and the partitions have
deteriorated to uselessness. I need a new case. This one wasn't ideal, so
I'm looking for suggestions.
