I recently encountered this on an installation I set up for a neighbor. The 10 IQ8 inverters and REC 365's would only put out .9 amps @240vac total until I installed the Envoy and set the grid profile. Jumped to 9 amps almost immediately after commissioning with the Toolkit app. Northern California

Hi William, I am 100% sure that the IQ7 would work without a Gateway. I am nearly sure that the IQ8's will as well. I'll sometimes turn the solar on before the gateway is fully installed just to test the strings, and the microinverters do seem to wake up. I am not sure what California might have t

Friends: Will the Enphase IQ8 operate in California right out of the box without connecting to a gateway? (I know I will not get monitoring or firmware updating. My question is will the IQ8, straight out of the box, if fed proper PV and line voltage, produce power?) Thanks in advance.
