I haven't had an FM 100 go bad yet, but I've seen other models and brands of controllers stay stuck in Silent mode, or Sleep mode, when they failed.   To avoid multiple trips to remote sites, I just swap it out with another, and then deal with getting the faulty controller repaired on my own ti

HI Wrenches, I have an off grid site on an Island on auto pilot for the winter with no access. The FM 100 has remained in Silent mode even when the Array Voltage is around 150 Volts and battery at 46V I did get a response from Outback Tech support but they couldn't figure out what happened. I

Hi James, From my experience with older inverters it would have read zero. When I got the answer from EG4 it makes sense. It also now makes sense that they are so nervous about what grounds are connected to the inverter buss as there is actually a connection to the power electronics. And

What voltage would you like it to read or what voltage are you expecting to read? If I am understanding your post, you are measuring 120V Line to Neutral and 120V Line to Ground. Ground has to "sit" somewhere and their explanation of leakage current through the components is reasonable. If concern

I just got an email back from them saying the following. There is no solid bond but the following will allow voltage to be detected between neutral and ground. Internal EMI filters or transient suppression devices that connect the AC lines to the ground. A small leakage path to ground via these

Hi All I just got off the phone with EG4 with the following situation and I wonder if anyone has see this or can comment. With no wires attached, inverter ( LUX 6000XP) I read 120v from L1 to ground and of course 120v to N. Yes it has an internal ground bond option which is turned off. EG
