I think the trick is to remove the roofing from the category of “likely to
become energized.” If your wire management is such that there is no way
that any PV wire can come into contact with the metal roofing, then you are
not obligated under 250.4(A)4 to bond.

This is not a knock on microinverters, but information to potentially help
save the next guy a bunch of time... This is not specific to any brand, but
for purposes of explaining I will mention it was an Enphase IQ6+ system.
One of the great advantages of microinverters, even over optimizers, in my
Local AHJs here have sometimes required/accepted a single listed lug on a
