Hi All,
I am looking for a manual for the PS2524. Mostly I'm trying to use the
gen start relay, and am thinking that without an optional relay add-on,
the PS doesn't have that capability. Unfortunately this client's inverter
does not appear to have the necessary relay. Does anyone have access t
Hi Jason,
That helps clarify the situation a little bit. I'm not familiar with the
Lennox product. That said, Enphase M190 cabling has a line 1, line 2, and
neutral (I believe blue colored) then you add a ground. The neutral and
ground should not connect. That is consistent with what you said be
I think what Dave is saying is that the enphase cable neutral is connected
to the EGC in the roof mounted j-box, and no neutral is run to the Lennox
panel or disconnect. While the neutral should not carry line current under
normal operation, Enphase calls it a neutral - look up the NEC definition

We have painted exposed parts of Solarmount rails black with high temp
spray paint with good initial results (bbq paint). No word on longevity,
yet.

I concur with both Mike and Richard here: keep the rails because it
should look better than all silver;
or if the customer insists, change the rails out, and get tough with
your supplier that duffed the order.
Either way you won't have some nightmare paint peeling in a year call back.

I've tried to paint clear anodized unirac solarmount rail with paint, spray
on bedliner, etc. It always comes off after a few months. I say leave it,
or swap it out.

Hi Benn,
No images but the ones in my imagination. The majority of arrays are viewed at
some distance, as in way up there on the roof. Most roofing materials are
dark colors. There's a good chance the few parts of the rails that are visible
at all, are less so than if they were silver. When gi
Hi Dave,
I'm not sure I'm understanding your scenario clearly but I'll take a crack
at it. The Enphase system should have a bare #6 GEC for each micro and can
then transition to a #8 green GEC once in conduit and run all the way back
to the main ground electrode system. The #6 and #8 should be irr
I've suggested leaving the rails black with silver-framed mods. They are
considering it.
It certainly looks better than black-framed mods w/ silver rails.
Can anyone share a few install photos with me with black rails and
silver-framed mods, so I can show the client that it doesn't look that b
Hi Benn,
This sounds tricky. We've occasionally painted silver rail black on the
ends with Rust-Oleum matte black paint. It always seems to adhere well but
I don't know for sure how long it will last. I've never tried painting
silver over black.
Is the client unhappy with black rail and silver mo
