Thanks Larry;
I wish Honda tech support was as easy to reach as Magnum!
No changes to the MMS, other than setting shore power breaker limit to
match the Honda at 20 amps. Played with Magnum charge rate from
0-100%, tried all sorts of combinations of ground bonding (in, out,
either, both, none).
Hi Dan,
If you have not made ANY changes to the inverter and it operates fine with the
1000 watt, it must be the Honda 3000 output.
The reliability of Magnum has been consistent and outstanding so I doubt it is
the problem. I have seen them fault out on over frequency, over voltage and

Hello esteemed Wrenches, from the wilds of British Columbia..
I'm in a bit of a pickle. Brand new Magnum MMS1012 inverter/charger
install. 4 x T105, 12v system.
Inverter side works fine. Charger side works fine too, from a Honda
1000i. But plug it into the Honda 3000i (also brand new) a
We recently bought a couple of fixed value torque drivers for a Sunpower
T-10 job. They were reasonably priced, set to a value we needed and end in a
¼ driver tip (can be adapted to any bit).

I've been using Sears's inch pound torque wrench for many years. Gets
the job done, and is reasonably priced.
Very good idea to use one for S5 clamps. I use it for a final check on
all module mounting bolts, and then put a paint mark on the bolt head
and side to indicate it has been torqued.

I'm looking for a recommendation on a good torque wrench for installing
S-5 clamps. I saw the past posts on torque screwdrivers, but I'm looking
for a wrench calibrated to the 100-150 in-lbs range.
