Hi Max, We¹ve done one, have one in the shop ready to go, and another on contract. Great solution for future expansion and clean installation. All mods are in parallel, but installation (with adapter cord) is end to end. No main inverter, no DC disconnect, no service or ³grouped² AC disconnect requ

You don't screw the roofing pans down through the pan, they are all held down with some kind of clip system; there are no roof penetrations, as the hold down screws are under the roofing. Matt T Troy Harvey wrote: I'm not talking about seam clamps (i.e. S5!), but rather the problem of screw

For design reasons we were forced to use Unirac SunFrame rail which required some extra effort and tight tolerances in mounting the inverters to it. If at all possible use a SolarMount-type rail. This is what the inverters were designed for. We've used enphase with sunframe too. What we

I'm not talking about seam clamps (i.e. S5!), but rather the problem of screwing or bolting through the roof causing problems with thermal expansion. Arguably, clamping to the seams would cause less thermal expansion problems, since screwing through a panel in the middle of the roof could c

Troy, It is my current understanding that some manufacturers of metal roofing will not warranty their products if clamps are used on the standing seams. The reason given is that clamping the seams prevents the normal movement of the roofing during expansion and contraction. I can't say which
