Washington doesn't have a PV installer category for prevailing wage. We've
been told to use Carpenter or Electrician depending on which part of the
installation they're doing.

Do any of you know whether your state has established a Davis-Bacon-type
prevailing wage scale specifically for PV installations? Or have the feds
come up with one yet?
thanks,

Can the Outback rep please confirm
whether the PSR-SCT battery spill trays have been discontinued or not.
I checked with the folks at Conergy and they say they just got a
shipment of them in so I am confused about whether to stock up on these
or not.

Holt,
We carry a very simple but advanced battery monitor from Samlex for
$42. It uses voltage to display relative SoC. It has a warning buzzer
and LED lights to indicate 7 stages of charge. It has audible alarms
for above 14.8 or below 10.5. It also works with 24 volt systems, auto-

Hi All,
We use ProSolar and UniRac but like the ProSolar better for most
residential installs. Clips are much easier to install and more
secure. Less Aluminum and hence much cheaper and easier to handle.
Disadvantage with ProSolar is you have to drill holes for mounting
bolts but then again

Something simpler than an e-meter?
What could be simpler than a 4 LED bar graph gas gauge? Green is
charged, yellow is mid, and red means start the generator.
The C-40's LCD display does not track amp hours in/out and will not be
an accurate way to determine batter SOC.

I'd suggest a differential voltage probe and a current probe with a two
channel scope. Observe both waveforms simultaneously. Phase shift
(PF), amplitude, waveshape, harmonics, etc all at one time. Most
digital scopes you can store the waveforms, download them to your
computer, or just take
I'm pretty sure the meter option for the C40 controller is still in production,
and should be easy to find.
The model number has changed, however. What was formerly the C40DVM is now CM
for the faceplate version,
and CM/R-50 for the remote mount version with 50' cord. CM/R-100 gets a 100'
cord.
Small houseboat system that I put in a few years back needs a "gas gauge" other
than the original E-meter. Operator issues require something simpler. System
uses Trace T40 CC, but can't seem to find the lcd display that was an optional
accessory - anybody have one of those or other ideas for a v
