Todd,
I’m afraid that any PT valves that I’ve ever known have continued to weep
indefinitely after one or two overheat triggers.
I would not recommend relying on them for heat control devices.

Thanks for stepping out.

Of the total number of installed inverters, how many where DOA or required

Chris,
Pls explain "no additional relays required". I've done an ac-coupled system
and used a protective relay because I was told to do so at an Outback
workshop by your techs, because the Outback cannot regulate the AC charge
current coming from (in this case) the SunnyBoy string inverters. Is

Indeed, we have installed several.
What is the question?
So far we like what we have seen!

Borreggo Solar has done a few systems with Enphase so you may want to
inquire with them.

Yes the tank can overheat is the answer! Anybody doing this should be aware
of the explosive nature of superheated water in a pressurized tank.
Assuming that you are using an insulated tank, you need plenty of storage.
It also helps to run the water coming from the bottom of the tank (to y
Hi Dave,
We're looking forward to installing our first 4 in about 2 weeks.
I plan to give feedback on the project when we have some good data
to pass along.
It was good to seeya in VT again this year!

All,
Any experiences with installing Enphase single module inverters yet? Also
how is their real world kWh production looking?
And any quality issues with Enphase?
Thanks,

Unfortunately, software can be that way... and the time and cost
involved in re-certifying grid-tie software changes has become extremely
expensive and time consuming. This results in us trying to batch as

Chris,
What ever happened to the software that Greg was working on when this idea
first came about. During our first AC Coupled system, summer of 06,this was
another item you folks at OB were excited about & indicated that the charge
regulation/AC coupling software was just on the horizon.
