Can confirm it works with a KMC X11!

Is the hub a SON Delux or a SON28? I ask because the Delux was technically
developed for 20" wheel bikes, with higher rotation rates. While it works
fine built into a larger diameter wheel (and will introduce less pedalling
resitance and will weigh slightly less than the SON28,) it will produce
113mm is what I wound up with on my Hunq. I'm also using a Sugino XD
double up front and an 8-spd cassette, btw. I think Riv recommends
113mm BBs for Sugino cranks, at least, on the Hunqapillar.

Yep, these are the Ahearne/MAPs. They are pretty comfy, but one and
1/3 hand positions wasn't quite enough for hours in the saddle. Could
have been worse, though.

Jim--I think I can see what you mean about the Albatross used off
road. I want to give it an honest try, at least.

Hi Geoff. Nice Hunq!
I have been thinking a little bit about the Bullmoose. I agree that it
seems ideal for the Hunqapillar.
Some eyeballing has led me to believe my current position with the
Ahearne bar is very close to what I would get with a BM. Bullmoose
looks so nice though!

They *are* 700x50s. I don't think I would go a whole lot bigger than
that. 29x2.1s would probably fit. . . .

Howdy folks. Speaking as a Rivendell Bicycle Works mechanic, I can offer a
couple of tidbits about brake stuff that may help out here:
It's one thing to compare brakes to brakes -- Silver sidepulls to Paul

Hi. I'm a mechanic at RBW and I would never grease a stem clamp. For 'bar
clicking I would grease the heck out of the stem quill, inside of steerer tube,
and the quill wedge. I would thoroughly clean the handlebar at clamp and the
inside of the clamp. Clicks/creaks often occur due to dirt or cru

I have been riding my 54cm Hunq about 30% of the time off road. It's
currently shod with 700x50 Duremes (which are pretty decent off road,
btw, at the correct psi.)
Hunq does make a great off roader. Cornering is pretty tight due to
the low bb, though you need to be aware of your pedals. I think i
The Hunqapillar definitely turned me on to the bigger wheels concept
for mtb-ing. I wasn't expecting to like it as much, but the big wheels
do roll nicely over rough ground. You get a pretty large contact patch
to stick to things with.

I believe I spotted the new handlebar out of the corner of my eye this
last saturday at Riv HQ.
Only one person in this thread has come close to describing what it is
or will be.

I used a pair of 700x50 Marathon Duremes on a 50% off-road touring/
camping trip. They worked great on and off the road. Maybe a tiny bit
slow-ish on the road, but they surprised me with their grip in the
dirt.
Fitted on my Hunqapillar, there was still plenty of room.
