Hi. I'm a mechanic at RBW and I would never grease a stem clamp. For 'bar clicking I would grease the heck out of the stem quill, inside of steerer tube, and the quill wedge. I would thoroughly clean the handlebar at clamp and the inside of the clamp. Clicks/creaks often occur due to dirt or crud in the bar-clamp interface zone.
