Speaking of timber and lugged steel... I recall seeing in one of the
Riv-Readers an awesome idea of Grant's for adding a second top-tube by
snuggly securing a piece of wood as the second tube. Have any of the
more handy folks in this group done this sort of thing yet, and are
there any tips for how
I have an extra 'racing' cage, I guess your only looking for the
touring model though?

I've had a set of Jack Browns on my Quickbeam since getting it in May
'09, and I've probably got near 2500 miles on them. They seem to ride
just fine, but I'm wondering what I should be looking for to know if
the tread is worn out. I'm 180 lbs., for what it's worth, and I assume
these should have a
I am looking to sell the stock wheelset that came with my Quickbeam in
May.They were ridden 50 miles at most before I put my custom set on
the bike, and they are in Like - New condition. Included in this sale
would be:
- Wheelset consisting of the following components:
+ Mavic Open Sport 32H Rim
I'm looking to get a seatpost lock for my the most recent Quickbeam
and I'd prefer to get a Pitlock system over the Zefal that RBW sells.
Has anybody had this system work for them? Thanks.

I got a set of the "over" type Resurrectio decals for an old frame I
recently got powdercoated, but I'm hesitant to slap them on, for fear
of making some (as yet unknown) 1st timer mistakes. I'm guessing
temperature would be a critical thing here, i.e: apply in a room
temperature (70 degree) enviro

I'm Looking to sell a never used (aside from test setup) Mountain
Hardwear Stiletto 1 Ultralight tent. I bought it a year ago withe the
plan of touring with it, but I am just too big a guy to be comfortable
in a 1 person sized tent. It is near - mint condition with no stains,
wear, etc. and has bee

I heard about this Bamboo Bike Studio from my sister, who lives in
Brooklyn; apparently this outfit has also had exposure on NPR. It
seems they are offering two day classes where you can go home with
your own handbuilt bamboo frame for about $650.

Hello All,
I've had the Tioga Surefoot pedals on my quickbeam for about 1250
miles now, and I've noticed that they aren't spiining super - smooth
anymore. The drive side pedal is decent, as it spins relatively nicely
but could be better, but the non - drive pedal will only go around a
few times wi
I have just today found the combination of this shoe, the Asics
'Mexico 66" (http://www.zappos.com/onitsuka-tiger-by-asics-mexico-66-
black-white-enamel) with the Grip Kings to be a solid combo. The only
drawback of the Asics is that the sole material got torn up by the
capscrews I had on the GK's.
I had the misfortune of catching a small nail in my rear 700 X 33
Schwalbe Marathon Supreme today, and I was wondering if it's possible
to safely ride on this for a good long while with a tube patch over
the puncture. I've switched on my pair of Jack Brown's, but I'm
wondering if the $65 tire can b
tside and let it set and the problem is solved?

I'm looking to sell the stock wheels that came with my Quickbeam last
May. They were ridden maybe 20 miles before I switched on my custom
wheels. There is almost no brake marking on the rim, and they are in
fantastic condition -- just been collecting dust for a year.
