I had the misfortune of catching a small nail in my rear 700 X 33
Schwalbe Marathon Supreme today, and I was wondering if it's possible
to safely ride on this for a good long while with a tube patch over
the puncture. I've switched on my pair of Jack Brown's, but I'm
wondering if the $65 tire can be safely salvaged for a while.

I put air in it and the pressure didn't seem to change after an hour.
So I'm basically wondering if the tiny hole in the tread would serve
as a weak spot that would get worse and worse, or could this be sorta
like a car tire where a repair is safe for a long time, rather than
replacement.
