My wife's Raleigh comes with a Dirt Drop looking pop top face plate quill stem.
Not sure who the manufacturer is. I can take it out to read the stamping at
base of stem if you like.
Looks like a silver dirt drop with face plate.

They say you should go to a wider saddle for upright riding than a B17, but
I have a sprung Brooks Flyer I'd like to keep using.
Anyone doing it? How does the saddle work for upright riding? Wide enough

Sitting totally upright on Albas with my saddle in the ususal KOPS position
that I had with 'staches and drops, I feel like my saddle has moved
forward, but it hasn't (I checked).
Feels like I am out in front of the pedals now when pedaling - not

Would be interesting if Rivendell had lugged versions and hammered versions
of their bars.
Just a lug collar at the ends of the drops and staches. Maybe at the clamp
sleeve, too. Maybe the sleeve could be a lug itself.

Since I have started riding with Albas, I have noticed that people are
smiling and saying hello and waving to me as I go by.
People hardly ever did when I rode drops and staches.
It immediately started happening after switching to Albas. Maybe I have

I don't know if any of this applies to the situation but here goes:
1.Are you mounting the fender tab in front of the crown? If not, try it, and
that may take up a few CM's of fender slack to help flatten the bulge. If you
are, try it aft.
2.Could you try mounting the fender with a sliding bri
