All I can say is my hanging edeluxe ii dont look anywhere near as bright as the
vendors’ online pics show. Works great though and bright enough. Just not as
bright and uniform as pics show.

I use a Topeak Morph for Carradice Pendle, Brooks Milford, and Berthoud GB 25
bags.
I use one of those short cylinder pumps from Topeak in my banana sax. Gotta get
new pumps as both are a few years olde and I don’t want to get caught out with
rotted seals. I think the Topeak is 9 years olde now

At their recommended 70-100psi for different rider weights, how can it be as
cushy as a 45psi GB/Compass tire? Over 70psi and harshness starts to be felt
imho.

I got that snap in "Zed's"(?) green nylon type tape for slipperiness.
Used Wire bead Pasela went on in a snap.
Folding pasela (new) took a little work but not as bad as getting the 35
Paselas off. Ran a little spit on the bead to help it get over the rim edge.

My Roadeo is way faster than my Rambouillet, and I enjoy the ease of pedaling

I used levers. Still very difficult with folding Paselas.
As if the tire size was too small or rim too large.
Easier after getting them on first time. But still a fight. One should not have
to fight to mount tires in 2018, especially when there are better sized rims
out there.

I run my 132.5 dropout Rambouillet at 135.
But it is funny how I have had two sets of 135mm rear wheels and one
required me to pull out on the 132.5 dropout/chainstays to fit, the other
fit right in without any chainstay manipulation necessary.
Both were LX hubs, iirc.

Hubs, crankset, brake calipers, chainrings, Shifters.
All we need now are brake levers, headset, bb, rims, cassettes, seatpost,
stem (maybe the lugged NITTO qualifies).

Love my x2 saddle. All the suspension and cush I need and about a pound

Bleriot -8/5/8- excellent on flats and downhills/bogs down going uphill. Both
53 and 55cm frames.
Sam Hillborne-same exact ride as Bleriot. 52cm blue frame.
Rambouillet- 8/5/8 but thinner walled stays and ST than Sam and Bleriot. Alot

Felt good today. Letting it stretch more before tightening again. Too hard
under sit bones when tighten to the recommended 6mm. So I’m letting it stretch
and enjoying the lower tension.

IME Friction works great withSilver Shifters, Microshift R10/Deore/SunXCD rear
derailers with 7-speed cassette and 4.5mm spacer or 8 speed cassette, both on

hurting after riding with them. Maybe I am getting some arthritis in them and

Both have similar Nitto/Sugino Riv-ish builds. Wheelsets very different.

Not enough space with P45 and 700c 32mm tires on blue Ram for my tastes.
I was thinking of trying my Honjo H50 wiith 700 x 32c and see if the high
arched Honjos offer enough room for safe tire passage.
Width would definitely be wide enough. Height is the challenge. I always
use fender nuts. Neve

Front loads make my Bleriot and Rambouillet wobbly up front.
I rode a couple years with front rack and Berthoud bag but now that I have
had no front loads for a while, having returned to a front rack and load on
my Rambouilet, I don't like it anymore. It was fine when I was enthusiastic
about it

I thought I heard they are not. If that is true, why not get a Sackville? They
don’t need a rack (so less weight/less failure points) and you can put a
coroplast stiffner on the bottom to keep it flat.

side:
8mm gap on other side.
So there is going to be 4mm each side of hub that will need to be taken up when
QR tightened.

face, relaxed with no wheel mounted.
Came stock with about 132.5 wheel.
My A23/135 LX fits great, but need to use that set for another project.

thing. Roll in, roll out.
I have one of those 2-tier leaning-on-wall bike racks but lifting a 27.5
lb. bike overhead every day up to the rack top hangers is a back or neck
injury waiting to happen.
So I want to park the

Way easier to pedal down the road than any other Rivbike I have owned. Very

Update:
So I have enjoyed the 700c ride so much on the Roadeo that I converted the Ram
back to 700c to see if I was cheating the Ram out of zippiness by having it
650b. As a side note, R559 will work fine as 700c on Rambouillet, so I am
leaving the longreaches on it. Looks like might be better

I have two bikes:
Rambouillet
Roadeo
I am thinking of keeping fenders on my Rambouillet just for the salty road
winter season here in Maryand and then back off again in spring when the
roads are clean.
I am not worried about rain and ground water so much. Just don't want salt
corroding stuff.

I guess the thinner wall tubing (6/4/6 DT/TT) , shorter chainstays, and
hand trimmed HT lugs?
The early ones had the trimmed HT lugs, iirc. You can see the points cut
off.
