SKS P45 worked fine for me too for the intial 650b conversion, too.
But I tossed them after going fast bike on the Ram this summer.

Now the Ram becomes the wet/winter weather bike.
Thinking of Berthouds because I have tried SKS and Honjo already.
I like the looks of Bertys and the smarter, space saving strut mounting. 
Those Honjo strut bolts eat up way too much space under the fender.
Also like that Bertys are stronger than SKS/aluminum. Also that they are 
only slightly heavier than Honjos (according to my recollection of my 
research on them). So not a big weight penalty there.
