I thought I was the only one that did that. ;-)

It's just nice to have choices. :-)

Dan,
You forgot to mention that you did the ride the day before you left for
Mardi Gras. :-)

+1 That is a great deal on a fine bike. A month after you buy it you will
be glad you did.

Looks great Derek and I'm glad you are enjoying it. Here are some bars to
consider. Like Noodles but less drop.

Unfortunately,
they are not sold in the USA.

A Cheviot or Clem L would be fine for the riding you want to do. There are
many handlebars to choose from that are not too upright. What are you
riding now?

Excellent idea. You will then know what will work best for you. The most
important thing is proper fit.

I'll add that the Cheviot, for a cruiser, is no slug either.

I thought the LHT was sort of an Atlantis copy?

Thanks Jon. I just got them for my Cheviot in silver from Ben's Cycles via
Amazon for $47.99 shipped.

Too bad that the Bleriot project did not work out. A lot more folks would
be really enjoying cycling if it did.

+1 *If you are short armed/trunked, and ride drops, you may want to size
down one size if the frame sizes are close. If you will be upright riding,
then just stick with RBW sizing methods. *Excellent advice.

Congrats! Listen...can you hear your therapist ask to be taken to New
Orleans? I think I hear it. :-) While there, go to Drago's
Seafood Restaurant. You'll be glad you did.

I seem to have the same issue with my Cheviot. I have some Albatross bars
I'd like to use but a bar end shifter is stuck is one side and nothing I've
tried so far will budge it. I may trim the bars a bit and see if that helps.

Ryan,
FWIW, I've had a hard time getting the bars 'right' for me on my Cheviot.
*I* never could get comfortable with the Choco Norm bar. I stumbled on this
http://zedmartinez.com/2016/06/rivendell-clem-smith-jr/ Perhaps it will
help. I got Bosco bars and am setting them up as in the article. Go
ill stylin :)

It may be the width of the bar not the length of the sweep. Wider bars
increase steering response. More twitchy.
